This was super forever ago (just like the post I'm replying to), but at that point in time in the metagame, Ice Climbers (especially Chu's) obliterated sheik. Ganondorf has always been one of the best characters at separating the climbers and preventing their grab set ups. If you watch, you'll see that even players like Ken have gone Gdorf against Chu.

Why did Jack use Ganondorf here? Did he think Ganon was a better match up for Ice Climbers? Or did he just underestimate Chu to the point where he thought he could use him for target practice? Anyways this was a good set, but I think a set with them now would be better.
