USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) is scheduled to complete its 20-month dry dock period May 21, when it undocks from dry dock 11 and moves to a pier side location at Newport News Shipbuilding for completion of the aircraft carrier's Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH).

Water first touched the hull of the ship May 16, when the shipyard flooded the dock to allow testing of critical ship's systems as undocking preparations continued. When the ship becomes fully afloat on the day of undocking, the short transit to the pier will be Theodore Roosevelt's first underway since it entered the shipyard in August 2009.
