  • Saw your 150 and it looks good. Like the fronts and the bala shark. I keep both also. About 50 or so adult Frontosa in my big tank. The Bala sharks I keep in a 180 and eventually will move them into my 810 with my mbu puffer.

  • If I had a tank like this I add a school of Pacus :)

  • @wssher

Those 55 to 60 pound Piaractus in the video are Pacu. They are in the 19 to 23 year range in my tanks.

  • is your glass tempered or a normal 1 inch glass? thanks!

  • @bacolodish

It's normal glass. I know of a few public aquariums and pet stores show tanks that have used laminated glass also. Although I am sure some big tanks might have tempered glass. After having a tempered glass tank top on a smaller tank break on me last week I don't think I would want one of my tanks made with it. In a bad dream I could just imagine a grain of gravel causing the glass to shatter in a thousand pieces as we put the panel in place.

A lot are using acrylic today.

  • How thick is the glass? What is the structure made of ? Thnx.

  • @NIK4EVA

The glass is 1 inch thick. The rest is steel and concrete.

  • How many Tetras could fit it there?

  • What do you feed them and how much food do you go thrue

  • Any chance of the vid of the Frontosa? 50 adults has just wowed me! Also see my earlier comments re Leucophasis Giant upside down catfish. Thanks

  • you can fish an arapaima or 2 in the amazone -river of brasil....but i don't support it, ... there are too little of these fish left in the wild and you can get enjured because they'll fight you, not te get caught. They have a bone in their mounth to crush other fishwhile eating !!! be carefull !

  • I've also recently bought a 8 inch Mystuc Leucophasis Giant UpsideDown Asian Catfish but I'm finding at night it's more active and when I come down in morning my Frontosa fins are in tatters, what do you know about these catfish? I may have to take it out of the tank just at night it isn't very active in the day and just stays up in the right hand corner near the weir which is where I like to watch him

  • 50 adult Frontosa wow. Can you post a vid thanks.
