For my final project, I expressed the importance of advocating for arts in education. I find that it is very vital to students to know how to use facts and statistics to make your case against defunding of arts and music classes or in some cases, the elimination of them. Talking with superiors and officials is an intimidating experience and most don't feel influential enough to stand up for their beliefs. My aim with this video was to tackle the issues and support funding for the arts in education with real statistics and facts and a realistic and humorous scenario in which a student confronts a principal. In doing this I hoped to educate students who wish to advocate on how to approach and convince somewhat "out of touch" or closed minded superiors on what it is they're advocating for.

  • Great job -- I hope it is shared by many who are also fighting for ensuring Arts are a part of the Core Educational Curriculum every child deserves in America!
