Well, to offer the song in slightly better quality. The old version is still on the channel. "The MLF Lullaby" is a comment on an American proposal to produce a fleet of submarines and warships, each manned by international NATO crews, and armed with multiple nuclear-armed Polaris ballistic missiles. The proposal was floated by the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations. You should watch the video, listen to what Lehrer says -- yes, his intro is included -- and search Wikipedia for MLF to read more about it.

In 2008 Lehrer said "OK" to "The Tom Lehrer Wisdom Channel", as long as the performance is not altered and as long as it's free in the YouTube flash video format.

@teniguafez Lehrer is perfectly right. If you do not understand his texts you are either German or you are one of those who check whether a gun is loaded by looking down the barrel, pulling the trigger and see if a bullet appears.

Btw, Lehrer is the German word for Teacher, so his ancestors must have lived in Germany.
