what a great find. Do you have anything from when they aired Prom Night? I heard there were scenes in the NBC version that have never been seen in any version since.

Nothing from "Prom Night" I'm afraid, though I do remember seeing it on TV

@ChrisRandomSinger I found this webpage just two days ago where someone has devoted much info to the movie, the soundtrack, the characters, the locations, the network debut in local TV listings, and the deleted scenes that you speak of with descriptions and stills. I didn't even know there was an alternative version (since I was only a few months old then)!

@ChrisRandomSinger Try putting an ad on ioffer.com for Prom Night Tv cut 1981 maybe you'll get a response.Yes they did add additional scenes to pad out the running time and to compensate for the small cuts(the gore) Funny that film came out July 1980 was on tv by Feb/March 1981 WOW

OMG! I remember watching this that night and being so scared I could not sleep and thinking Myers was outside my bedroom window and all I could here was the breathing.

I think I even missed school because of no sleep.

I still have a distant memory when this movie was shown for the first time on network tv back 30 years ago on Halloween night 1981(advice:first trick or treat than watch this movie).

One of my all time favorite horror movies!

Like many of us here, I still remember the network movie premieres back in the 70's and 80's and what a big deal they were. Good times! :)
