People have complained about it not working correctly so try out the six axis driver, some people dont need the driver, and some do: http://dl.qj.net/playstation-3/tools-and-utilities/sixaxis-driver-for-pc.html
and some other settings to calibrate is in you controller panel, if you have windows 7 type in the start menu program search bar: " controller " then hit enter (without quotes) then select the ps3 controller and press properties, and fiddle with that, try out the Calibrate option too ;)
