Not to mention the difference between the companies who made both games. Bethesda is a damn old one and they still make the same mistakes. Not sure why people get boners over it. I agree, it was good but not good enough.

Skyrim being the best RPG of the year would just be bullshit. As others have mentioned before, the graphics are incomparable to The Witcher, so are the quests, which in Skyrim, they just want you to clear caves, kill some mobs, bring something and that's pretty much it, the storyline in the campaign was just linear and boring. In Witcher 2, storyline actually changes as you play and every side quest you do in this game is different. Skyrim is a good game but it's kinda buggy and nothing amazing.

i just started playing this game yesturday amd all i can say is WOW! it is the best game i ever played, it;s like a really good dream that keeps on going.

Witcher was a PC specific title for one. Also, the game doesn't have a multi-billion company producing it for publicity, hype and so-forth. It's a young series, half as many games as Skyrim, and doesn't produce other games with the same engine to bring in audience.
True, Skyrim is a great game, way more successful. But does it mean it's better? No. The games aren't even comparable really.

@ffxivGraywolf79 Because Witcher 2 is truly an RPG, all aspects of an RPG. Skyrim has a very lackluster story-line and is famous for letting you roam around and do whatever you want, which is more adventure based, not RPG.
The "BEST" is a personal opinion.
Good luck arguing that with someone, better off talking to yourself, or acting big over the internet.
