Starting the recently acquired Villiers Mk25 engine. It only required a carburetor, points cleaning, and the timing set. It seems to run pretty well, although the temporary skid rattles and walks all over the place!

  • My Villiers catalog lists the 256cc Mark 25 and Mark 25RG 4-stroke engines, as well as the Mark 25C 147cc 2-stroke. I'm under the impression that this is the MK25C. It weighs a good bit more than the Mark 2 and Mark 3, around 45lbs with the tank and silencer. I have a spares manual for the Mark 24 and Mark 25 2-stroke engines as well which depicts this very engine. I could probably email you a copy of the specifications if you are interested.

  • This is a mk2G or 3G. The mk25 is much bigger and is 4 stroke
