Carlos Castaneda - 1968 radio interview

This rare radio interview takes place at a pivotal time in CC's career - the publication and publicity for his first book. I've cut the interview down from 45 minutes to 10, though - excising mainly small talk, and repetition from the book.

I have a firm view on what's true and otherwise in CC's work. And my years of legal training - studying evidence and observing witnesses - verify the quirks in Carlos' demeanour here. But that just settles my mind on the matter.

As for the visuals... 2:58? A laugh-track was also on the cards, for a while. Finally, I recommend my video response - as the antidote to... well, damned near everything (except synthetic voices).

Some people are still arguing, was this mysterious brujo (witch in spanish) Don Juan Matus real or not. Well, does that really matter so much? If so, why? Many people are so deeply blind and therefore they say that everyone who sees, is a abnormal. Usual people are unfortunately slaves of their mind and rational explenations. True and deep wisdom lives in every Don Juan's word and vision of life. I bet Don Juan is laughing at our stupid "arguments", that are meaningless and full of emptyness.

If I actually flew to the moon and met with actual alien space creatures it would be one of the most amazing stories of our times. But if I just made it up it would be just one more dull piece of science fiction. Thats why we separate fiction from nonfiction you dingbat.
