Neither did I until I started flying :-)
I still call it part of it being the "cool factor" in flying. Small things entertain me I guess!

LMAO....Severe clear day!?! Winds @ 5kts....man, please be careful! Terrific landing, kept that stall warning going and didnt fly it on the runway as they say in the commercial industry...great job! What are you flying?

I wouldn't say it's exactly "bush country" LOL but a lot of crop dusters do fly in and out of RNV. RNV is in the middle of catfish country where there are a lot of catfish farms.

Yeah, conditions were horrific! Viz below 70 miles, panic attack when it's sooo windy LOL
Beech Sundowner is what I fly.
I affectionately call it a "Slowdowner"
172 on low wings. I don't get there fast, but I do get there in comfort :-))
