This knot is identical to the "Four-in-hand", apart from the addition of another pass of the wide blade across the knot before ending. This gives a slightly larger knot.

The video is to be viewed as if you were looking in a mirror.

  • @robthebuilder321 actually real men know how to tie a variety of knots...choosing the knot which best fits the design and size of the collar, the material of the tie, and the formality of the occasion. Most men who intentionally stick with the full windsor for all occasions regardless of the criteria I just mentioned usually are doing so because they want to feel powerful (if you need your necktie to do that for you you probably aren't as much of a man as you've dreamt up).

  • Look at this guy, hes a fuckin professional tie putteroner

  • sorry but this style of knot sucks, the knot looks uneven and ugly as hell, if you want a "real professional" looking, go with the Full Windsor Knot.

  • does the type of fabric the tie is made of affect the knot? I have a polyester tie as well as a silk one.

  • It doesnt look that much different than the windsdow or whatever

  • i thought, that was the "DOUBLE KNOT TIE"..????

  • I learned this and the four in hand, but you go through the original cross over, not through the final one. Does anyone else tie it that way?

  • its not symmetrical, damn

  • Part of why there are so many ways to tie a neck tie is because there are different styles of collars, and different styles and weights of ties. Spread collars call for a wider knot, while a long, narrow collar looks stupid with a bulky knot. Sure, a full Windsor is fine with an average collar, and a light weight silk tie. It would not work with a heavier tie or a narrow collar. A light weight tie that looks great in a double Windsor would look stupid in a four in hand.

  • School boy knot.
