I have some coworkers that try to use the excuse that those people were not smart enough to understand that God used evolution to make man so God came up with the account found in Genesis. I tell them that I am smarter than their god because I would have told them it took a long time if evolutlion was the method used rather than the story told. This should be a good tool to use with them, thanks for posting.

really ? of course u can put words into something written more than 2000years ago and use words we currently use....not just 2000years but alot more then that like 6000years. did u know its been translated over and over. and there are multi versions. how do u know whats written now was written 6000years ago?how do u know heavens and the earth did not mean the universe?

Because I used to speak Hebrew and understand the history of Hebrew cosmology.

Also, NONE of the words I used were unavailable to the Hebrews at the time.

If this was how the bible was written, I'd still be a firm believer. And you know what? So might all of the great scientists living today.
