Dillie the blind deer was adopted by an Ohio family that loves her. She swims in the family pool, sleeps her own bedroom and loves to munch on houseplants. Have you ever seen anything like it?

  • I just saw Dillie and her owners on the tv news and there was never anything mentioned that she was blind....Dillie is NOT BLIND

  • @scarypowers Yes she is legally blind. Not 100% blind.

  • Please share Dillie with all your family and friends this holiday season!

  • Dillie should get the Noble Peace Prize

Dillie is about the size of a great dane. Thinner than a mastiff, and, vegetarian, of course. She curls up on the bed and really doesn't take up that much space on the bed. . Her signt is greatly impaired from cataracts, but she gets around great. She goes up and down the steps, she turns on and off light switches with her teeth. SHe turns faucests on (but not off!) She knows her name and loves all the other pets in the house. I am a vet, so well educated on dogs, etc. M.

  • LOVE THE VID!! I also have 2 pet deer - they are much like Dillie - turn lights off/on, they get ice/water from fridge and they are totally potty-trained! When they need to "go" they stand at the back door like my dogs - I open the door they go out & do their business & come right back! They know their names & are SOOOOOO LOVING!!! NEVER - have they been aggressive towards me - AT ALL! My oldest is almost 4yrs and my youngest is almost 2yrs. My dogs love them and protect them VERY well!!

  • SHE is SO cute.! I wanted to write and tell you about my greyhound's opthomolgist. He is in Toronto and has done surgery on a deer ( and of course other animals) and the deer has his sight totally restored. His name is Joe Wolfer. I actually took a photo of the newpaper article when we were there for Chinadoll' s panus checkup ...would you like to see it??
