Vice: Project Doom - Pt. 1 - Take It Down to Chinatown!

Vice: Project Doom... I spent many hours on this game when I still played my NES when I was a kid. It's one of my all-time favorite platformers and will probably remain that way. Even though it's labeled as a Ninja Gaiden clone, it's among one of the best NES action games out there, I recommend checking it out.

I thought I'd play through it and see if I can beat it again... though I never have managed to get away from the very final battle cleanly. But I've played this game long enough to have memorized it a lot.

I made the mistake of trying to fight off those freaky... vulture... fly things with a pistol. That was a dumb idea, and I wound up dying. Lol. Note that that may be the only time I die through the run of this playthrough. You can get through the entire game without losing a single life if you're good and don't make too many mistakes.

The stages get more complex and everything the further you get in the game, so some parts further along the way may get shorter from here on. :x

An obscure masterpiece. I found this game by chance in a shop in '97 or '98 (many retailers still carried NES games back then). So glad I got to play it!

I love the first stage in this game...

"Is that cop just shooting a bunch of random people in cars and barreling through crates? This is the best police force EVER!"

I never played this game much, mainly because I thought it would be yet another generic NES driving game; that is, this sort of action racer in which you only go in one direction and your car have cannons.

I never knew there was more to this game, that it would play in a Ninja Gaiden-ish way.

I'm sure I will love this if I give it another go. Thanks for the video.
