The death of Prim is what solidified Katniss's choice of love. Once Prim died, Gale was no longer an option!

OMG I FEEL THE SAME WAY BRO i was not disapointed but your right the ending was to clean ok it was happy ever after but it was kinda felt rushed more people came back to district 12 katniss said she loved him and they had kids but over all the book was good lots of action lots of key moments same in catching fire but the first one was still my faviort not disappointed but just a "sigh"

Hey!!! You have to read the epilogue in the back of the book to truly end the book. It tells you what happens to Katniss and Peeta later on so if you didn't read the epilogue you need to.

I ddnt like the ending! LIKE Gale is her bestfriend. I dnt care if they''re too hurt. It's just Gale is her bestfriend and they shouldnt delete their lives from each other. AND im really happy that Peeta and katniss ended together. It was like.... Um. On katniss's side:ok iva no choice so i love peeta.

screw you haters on the ending.....it took peeta years to recover from the poinon of the tracker jacker venom and gale's a pimp but not meant for katniss,,,,,sure they shoould make another book that fills in some quiestions, shows the story of their children it was a depressing book yes but it wasnt bad it had more violence XD then the other 2 and more WTF moments it wanted me to keep on reading forever. Suzanne Collins......Your AWSOME

If you really think about it though, every death or loss meant something. Suzanne obviously had reasons for killing off the characters she did. I feel like the loss of Prim was necessary. It shows the casualties of war. and all those innocent people who die. Prim is the face of innocence, is she not? I didn't really like the ending at first, but its the most realistic although depressing. After all the they've been through, there can't just be a happy ending.
