i know mark very well.he has a lovely brother called tommy and a lovely sister called Cags.they are great friends of mine.
i think mark needs an electric starter for that engine because it takes a lot of energy out of him trying to start that massive engine with the starting handle.i do wish him all the very best with it.

@crisp2882 Mark tells me that the difficulties starting it have one advantage, his lad, currently 15 yo, has been told that he cannot drive it until he can start it himself!
Incidentally, Mark broke the class record for Edwardian cars, (pre 1919) at Curborough on his first run, by three seconds, which is a huge margin.
