She (Carrie Prejean) made an ass of herself. She didn't become Miss America. She no longer is Miss California. The Miss USA pageant is ashamed of Carrie Prejean's anti-gay mission, and they have put their disappointment in writing.

Miss Prejean is in a woeld of her own. She is an unaccomplished puppet of the right wing ChrisTaliban.

50 years from now, everyone involved in the anti-gay marriage campaign will be as ashamed as today's KKK sympathisers.

I was invited to some sort of "American Values" gathering in the small town where I live. People who attend those are the ones driving Dodge Ram trucks with little stuffed animals everywhere, driving really slow in the fast lane with US flags sticking out of each window.

I right away remembered that I don't live in a trailer park, haven't been to church since my grandpa died, and I have functional male genitalia greeting me with a stiff urge every morning since I was 5. Tea Party? NOT for me!

The "problem" is the same as it was 50 years ago when "Christian" bigots were desperate to keep blacks "in their place". Even the Republican darling Ronald Reagan declared as late as 1964 that he supported white land lords' rights to discriminate against negros who wanted to rent or buy housing. What politician would dare make such a declaration TODAY?

10 years from now the current anti-gay crusade will be a source of shame and embarrassment to the "devout Christians" hailing it today.

@bathswife Yet if men hold a strength contest and the winner is the strongest of the bunch, that's fine? Women are naturally more beautiful than men, and I think if we, as humans, take a moment to praise that and appreciate women then we are enriched as a whole.
