We had our own horrible experience with Spirit Air as well. They scheduled their flights with an hour layover, which is fine if you are on a domestic flight and changing planes, but they didn't tell us that when we flew from Mexico to NY via Ft. Lauderdale, we actually had to deplane, go through immigration and customs and recheck our bags. Over half of our plane had to try and go standby on subsequent flights. Their answer, "We are not legally required to give more than an hour for connecting."

In Europe we don't coop with this kind of shit! That's why Ryanair is getting worse numbers in continental Europe, only keeping good numbers of flights from and to UK...Air Europa, Vueling and EasyJet provide a very good service, never had more then 30m of delay in any departure with them, and all by air controllers orders to wait...there's in no such thing as standard or low cost airliners, there are good ones and bad ones, like everything else in this life!
