FFVI - NENMG Part VII: Tentacle Hentai

A rather annoying battle. In other playthroughs, you avoid being slowed and grabbed by wearing Auto-Haste shoes but that's a facility we lack in this challenge. No Equipment means no relics equipped, too. That, of course, means we do get slowed, grabbed and raped. Serious business.

Edgar joins with equipment already on so the first step in this battle is to strip him of his clothes. After that, he should immediately use Bioblaster, poisoning all tentacles but the top-left one.

There are two ways to go after this. One is to heal and just let the three tentacles die, the other is to attack. I was never comfortable with either way and always did a little bit of both.

It's a good idea to start the battle by having Sabin blitz (since nobody should be seriously injured at this point yet) and having Celes cast Protect on herself. Protect isn't too important here as spells and slow rape are far more dangerous than regular physicals but it's nice to have nevertheless.

After that, Edgar should Drill, aiming for the top-left tentacle which WILL not die of poison, Sabin should heal himself and others with Hi-Potions and Celes should cast Cure. However, most of the time the party will be grabbed and their turns won't come any soon so this battle is best summed up as waiting out until the tentacles just die off.

Bio and Poison are two to watch out for, the former capable of taking out a character who isn't at full health with ease. If a character is poisoned and damaged, casting Poisona is a priority: experience clearly proves that being grabbed while poisoned leads to a very quick death.

Since characters are often left alone on the field, slowed and injured while their allies are suffering, having been grabbed by the tentacles, the battle can get risky. This is one of the best tries and also quite fun to watch. You can easily tell the bit when I was getting nervous. ;)

Its not the emulators fault. The conection I'm useing, although not dial up, is as slow as it, and sometimes it flucuates and ceases YouTube Video Buffering.

boss simple of kill, only follow the secuence:

equp hermes sandals - blitz(razor gale)=> chainsaw => slow => and repeat the same thecnique ;)

Works in a normal game perfectly, but we can't equip Hermes Sandals due to the No Equipment rule, plus Sabin is not of a high level enough to use the wind-elemental blitz.
