This is one of my favorite scenes from this film.

Katie Holmes is a decent actress but, Dame Helen eats her ALIVE in this scene - she conveys more emotion and, radiates more magnetism with one quirk of her eyebrow than Katie manages in her entire performance.

Helen Mirren was fantastic! She is the only reason I ever consider watching this movie again. I actually feel for Mrs. Tingle in this movie. She was shot at with a crossbow, tied up, and totured for days and then SHE gets fired because she tries to defend herself against her attackers? Leigh Ann did get the project wrong and she didn't deserve the A she changed it to. I hate the fact how we are supposed to feel bad for the students when they're the real villain's in this movie!

Notice how there's no BGM on during Tingle's speech. That's the mark of a good actress: SHE'S carrying the scene without the aid of the music.

This actually IS my favourite scene of the whole movie...so powerful and intence...and it's basically the only one in wich we can actually see Mrs.Tingle as a human being(I mean...just look at her face in the end!!!:-O):simply wonderful!_____!
