From the 1979 horror sleaze classic "Don't Go in the House", starring Dan Grimaldi as psycho Donny Kohler. In this scene, Donny discovers that his mother has died and he doesn't take it too well.

However, he discovers one advantage is that he can now play his stereo as loud as he wants, and so he puts on the excellent awesome disco track "Late Night Surrender" by Jeree Palmer. I have been searching for this song and would love to somehow get a copy of the full song.

  • thanks for the clip. Dan Grimaldi is now a professor at my college, Kingsbourough community college. He is in fact a very smart guy, who has a PHD's and all that. Although he teaches, acting was always his first love. As of now he teaches my computer class, and the man has high standards in how you do your computer projects. It brought back memories when I showed him this clip. Thanks a lot.

  • Technically an Ed Gein ripoff, but both are

I grew up in the town where much of the movie (including the house) is shot. Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The house was always the creepy haunted house growing up amongst my friends, even before this movie was shot. It's on top of the best hill for sledding in winter (the police would usually shut down the street for sledding, because it was too steep to drive in ice). But sledding the hill meant going near the house. It's now the town's Historical Society HQ, refurbed & beautiful

  • In my opinion, not only does the OUTSIDE of the house look creepy or eerie (this house is much bigger than one in Psycho, by the way), the INSIDE looks eerie, as well! In my opinion, it has or it's got that "stereotypical haunted house"-type o' feel to it-and I LOVE IT!

  • fantastic film with an outstandingly funky soundtrack

  • very talkative spirits.
