Me and my mate driving 47105

Me and my friend went on the driver for a fiver at Cheltenham during the Autumn Diesel Gala 2008, which on the Saturday was 47105.

There is only shots of me driving to Cheltenham rather than both ways as a certain cameraman thought the camera was broke...Better not tell the whole story or I'll get shot :P

Easy just turn up at the gloucester warwick railway when they are having a diesel gala with the driver for a fiver offer on. then just pay your fiver !

Just remember not all their galas offer it,

It doesnt seem to be printed anywhere that the spring diesel gala will have it so will probably be in the Summer.

The instructor also told me that it could be a tenner this year and the distance extended

Yes we still use vacuum brakes, most 47s are also air braked, most can be dual braked (air and vac) as well

Yes I did the 73 last year on the Saturday, love the ED, shame its not in NSE now :(. Thing with he 73 I found odd was the speedo was miles away to the left!

I hear they might extend the driver for a fiver further up the line, costing about a tenner or so.
