its down to the budget of the film. The 1st Starship Troopers had a budget of about $100 million, whereas the 3rd was about 15 to 20 million so cutbacks had to be made.

It's funny. I just saw the third one yesterday and honestly I think the first one had better bug looks. They didn't look CGI. The warriors looked really fake in the third one which came out in 2008 so I was disappointed in that.

I never realized how gorgeous the music for this movie was. I'm almost in tears with how pretty the driving theme is. But then again, it's late and I'm a sucker for themes like that.
