The biggest supporter of the US Military -- whether in or out of uniform, no matter if they agree with the mission in Iraq and Afghanistan or not -- challenges Sen. Harry Reid to make his allegations on the out-of-context Media Matters quote to his face.

  • @abaskcasckbackj DISGRACEFUL???? LOL LOL Carter is among the TOP TWO PREZZES in both JOB GROWTH and GDP GROWTH since WWII. Ronald Reagan is in a race to the very bottom with one of the very WORST records in both categories. In fact, ANY Democratic Prez, at RANDOM, beats ANY GOP prez in those crucial economic categories (and others) since World War II. Face it: the GOP is NOT a political party; it is a kooky cult of liars who does not dare tell the truth.

  • @775marc He is not merely a LARD ASS SWINE, he is a goddamned liar and I have proved time and time again.

  • @lennhart lol.....Did you bother to actually read? The sources are right under the stats. They're much the same ones as you claim to be using. The difference is I have actually provided some. You haven't.

  • @bahdahdoop I already have official data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Commerce Dept - B.E.A. and the U.S. Census Bureau. Those are OFFICIAL STATS! Did you bother to ask where Forbes gets its data? When you find out --get back with me.

  • At last --who finally got Osama?? Obama, a Democrat that's who! Why is terrorism worse under GOP regimes (see FBI stats published by Brookings Institution)? Simply --the GOP must exploit an external threat, the specter of 'terrorism', (a bogey man) in order to scare peaple into voting for their sorry crooked ass. Meantime --the ONLY real beneficiaries of GOP phony wars are the Defense Contractors who are well repped on K-street.

  • FBI stats show terrorism worse under GOP regimes since 1980. Reagan's "War on Terrorism" made terrorism worse. Over 2 years, attacks against the U.S. increased. [Source: Total Acts of Terrorism in the US 1980-98, America's Response to Terrorism, Brookings Institution (FBI Statistics)] Why does the U.S. target the middle east when, in fact, there are more terrorist attacks against U.S. from Latin American countries than Middle Eastern nations. Wassup with that? Why does Limbaugh/GOP lie to us?

  • Income mobility in the U.S. has been a myth since Reagan and Bush Sr. The Hubbard study of income mobility is commonly cited by 'conservatives' and other slogan parrots but --in fact --it uses a biased, atypical sample of American families. The results are skewed; ergo meaningless. FACT: extreme income inequality leads inexorably to increases in child poverty. I cannot find a single cogent defense of this outcome among an increasingly psychopathic right wing. The GOP, obviously, does not care.

  • @bahdahdoop I cited official stats. If you are too stupid to go to the original source, that's your problem. Take some responsibility for your own idiocy. I cited THREE official agencies of the U.S. government --the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Commerce Dept Bureau of Economic Analysis. All say the same thing. Every Dem prez since World War II has presided over great GDP and job growth than any GOP since WWII. Live with it!

  • Jimmy Carter, is in fact among the best Presidents in job creation. Plus --he is the only US President to have brokered a Middle East peace --the Camp David Accords. In the wake of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Carter acted quickly. He replaced Kissenger's incremental, shuttle diplomacy with a comprehensive, multilateral approach that included reconvening the 1973 Geneva Conference to include a Palestinian delegation. The GOP feared to duplicate that approac. It might have succeeded.

  • Job Growth Per Year Under Most Recent Presidents

    Johnson 3.8%

    Carter 3.1

    Clinton 2.4

    Kennedy 2.3

    Nixon 2.3

    Reagan 2.1

    Bush 0.6

--Bureau of Labor Statistics, Current Employment Statistics Survey

  • Since WWII -two Prezzes pull up the rear in terms of job growth and GDP growth. May I have the envelope, please!!! ......and the losers are: RONALD REAGAN and GEORGE H.W. BUSH. Note: Special Prosecutor Lawrence Walsh's 'Final Report' of 'Iran-Contra Matters' stated that Bush Sr had committed HIGH TREASON by arming an avowed enemy of the United States and participating in a complicated 'laundering' scheme to do it. In times past, that would get you HANGED! google: Lawrence Walsh, Iran-contra

  • @abaskcasckbackj I have often written that Ike was the last honest republican. But that doesn't mean his economy was worth a crap. There was a recession during the administration of every GOP prez since WW2. That surely has something to do with the fact that jobs are lost during every GOP admin over the same time period. That surely has something to do with the fact that GDP declines --in fact two consecutive quarters of declining GDP is a recession by definition. Look it up.
