This is my first green screen (chroma key) attempt.
with a cheap dv cam and a yard of cotton purchased from my local fabric store

I used sony vegas pro 8.

any tips on how to get better results would be great!

the room im in is about 7x7 (large closet) and i use two 60w lamps in front of me on either side illuminating my face, and a 300w shop light illuminating the green screen above me.

also a 75w lamp (no shade) directly behind me to give a good definition behind me.

  • generally, yes. it has to be a bright, strong green, the furthest away from skin color as possible. that's why green and blue works, there the furthest away from skin color, so it wnt bleed into your subject.

  • mostly the problem aint proper lighting but a grainy video. i have the same problem here. the greenscreen is illuminated but our camera definatelyis LQ.

  • no it can be pink or purple etc... you just have to do chroma key and select the colored background to take that color away. it should work with almost any color...with Pinnical Studio 12 Ultimate it does :)

  • does it have to be a neon colored green?
