I do wonder how his career would have played out if his AFL career wasn't cut short. 215 goals from 74 games is a damn good return.

Yea, me too. He pretty much threw his body sideways across the returners upper half. That was his first year...sweet-ass hit. I want to say they were playing the Steelers, but I'm not sure. Hope someone post it.

Cards7509, As I said thanks for writing this today as it got me going in a good way to write about Aussie punters McBriar vs Rocca yesterday. I think its a bit tough/stupid on Romo doing the holding as well but I heard the new kicker wanted Romo not Mat to hold. Mat must be having a amazing time at the cowboys. Good on him.

im not doubting any punter or kickers toughness, u play in the NFL and ur tough to me ecspecially since u take alot of punishment.
its just he's just not a legend in the since of like emmitt smith or walter payton thats all.
