My husband is an ISTJ and he is a great man. ISTJ's are very honorable people. I only wish that you were a little younger. If you were I'd be trying to introduce you to my daughter.

ISTJ here, but I'm a female ;p nice video btw. I could really relate to some of the things you said like not giving a damn about compliments. For me, it's just "yeah" "whatever". And I'm also very introverted. I'm find with staying home...

Apparently testing as INTJ is quite common because there's a bias to wanting to be that type and subconsciously answering that way even if it's not true to yourself. Search "Myers Briggs Errors?" on Youtube and there's a good video explaining this.

You look so ISTJ...it's just wow. They are great people, my father is one so I know.
I myself an am INFJ.

I'm an infp, and i tell you i've had it with being an idealist,
it's exhausting mentally, always putting things off, i admire istjs and entjs
for their realism, confidence and action-orientedness, just wanted to know, could you name
me just some examples of what you ISTJ's find to be fun, i mean do you actually enjoy doing
chores etc... or are you like the rest of us,but realise it must be done?
any istj answer this please.
thanks.

@Mir8121 Well, I can only speak for myself but it's not that we don't care about accomplishments, it's just that we don't need validation (compliments) from others upon successful completion. In our eyes, we're simply fulfilling the obligations we've set for ourselves. Also, I don't think it's a "typical" ISTJ thing to boast, I know I'm uncomfortable doing so.

Oh and you mentioned something about not caring about accomplishments and compliments? The istj i knew was very big on that. He'd boast about how many sit ups he could, how high he'd score on a bio test etc. Is that an istj thing? Any idea?
ISTJ here as well. Public service (rotary, optimists club etc.) = not interested. I prefer to fly "below the radar" as a non-ISTJ observer would say. Like you say, praise or criticism is irrelevant and many other personality types "don't get me" because of that. I would agree also that our type seems to attract self-destructive personality types, they are fun (for a while), but ultimately you will be the rock they shatter themselves against.

@weilandjason yea a lot of people seem to not get me or what have you. Also that I prefer not to have a lot of contact with people, I mean I can communicate well I just dont really like to do so. And I haven't expirenced the later part, and I suppose thats good at least.
