  • The problem I have with this build is that by the time the reapers reach the opponents base the stargate is finished. The build just hits too late. If the opponent goes 3 rax, he is moving out to attack and all you have is 5 reapers. It's a build that relies far too heavily on your opponent teching, and then leaves you too far behind unless you do phenomenal damage and have perfect micro.

    This is a strategy that is impractical at lower levels of play.

  • @VeGGeNtE89 if you see he is going marauder then throw down a bunker or two... reapers are still good against marauders when in bunker (being repaired).. friend of mine proxy maraudered me when i was doing this and my one bunker kept him off till i killed enough workers (everything was at my base) to give me the lead and eventually win

  • @Vitus17 I'm in high diamond and I've developed a slightly different variant of this build that allows me to get the three reapers out, expand, protect against banshees, and transition into full blown mech. I found that after making the 3 reapers, you want to make solely marines out of the rax while your expand is going up. From there you can take the second gas, ebay for turrets, and throw down 2 factories on your rax tech labs. It's also the perfect counter to 1 rax expand.

  • I'm a high diamond Terran player and recently I've been struggling with TvT. This build has been extremely successful for me and the transition potential is amazing. Thanks a lot for the great vid :)

  • @Vitus17 Playing rushes are always better if you think of them yourself. 

  • @Vitus17 you need to get 4-5 scv's to make it pay off. Since that's worth 200-250 minerals + the impact to economy

  • @jtaylor4321 if you can micro like that and ur only insilver, theres a problem :D

  • it's only strong against when your opponent if fasting (clocked) banshee
