Nice video. ODG put out a parts bulletin in September announcing a new 22" Argo tire to replace the discontinued Goodyear Runumuck 22" tires. I was planning on buying 8 new Argo tires next year. Having seen your vid, I am definitiely buying some now.

Good video.

It's true that how level vs weight will change the speed no matter the type of tire.

The best visual way to see if you getting better performance is to see how much foam or white water your argo is making around itself.

I've noticed that the closer the tires are together the less thrust you have and the more cavitation you get.

I put Kenda executioners (tires) on my 6x6 argo, not much difference to the frontiers, however i added curved guides to redirect the cavitation.

cobalt120, I agree with your observations. There are a few AATv's out there that have fenders that follow the radius of the tire, these produce less cavitation and more thrust. Years ago when I used to float ATV's, I noticed that no matter what tire you ran that it performed rather well because of the tires spacing on a 4x4.

Atvjoel, yes an outboard bracket is available from Argo. People use all types of outboards on them, all the way up to a 9.9 hp. Another favourite is a Briggs 5 hp. air cooled engine.

I took some small room rectangular air/heating duct and put it under the fenders single piece along the length of the fenders slots/holes with slight bends in them just above the tires. The holes are about 1/2 the width of the tire and about 2/3 the tire length.

The ends of the ducting are open. Got quite a bit of improvement in FWD or REV.

All it does is reduce the cavitation.

It took some tweaking of the bends in the slots to get it right.

But that's atv dependent.
