  • Do the mains always come back down a bit before they go all the way up like that?

  • They always back down a bit when the nose gear retracts. I guess there's a pressure drop in the system when the nosewheels goes up. The pressure quickly builds up again and then the mains go up and stays up :-)

  • @Pjuskos Yes, you are correct. When the gear starts to retract the total volume of the hydraulic system increases causing the pressure to decrease. The lightweight pump used in the Pipers cannot keep up with the pressure drop causing erratic movements.

  • Yeah, that's what it looks like when we select gear up.

    At least we hope.
