@TheLeetCasualGamer Isn't that the case for most fighting games. Because I've seen people go crazier than this when they were still showing clips for MVC3 before it came out. It's basically hype and the excitement of others rubbing off on others

@TheLeetCasualGamer It doesn't matter whether or not ponies are involved in a fighting game. It's the actual fighting game itself that induces the majority of the hype. Look at the amount of hype that UMVC3 gets when its played in tournaments, people just love to see characters get 100% KO'ed in one combo, even if they have no actual knowledge of what makes or breaks a fighting game.

@TheLeetCasualGamer I don't undersand the point you're trying to make. Of course fans are hyped for ponies. This is an MLP fighting game. What's the problem? That's like complaining about people getting hyped for Nintendo characters in Smash Bros. That's the entire concept of it! Why does it even matter anyways? Hype is hype. Doesn't matter why they're hyped. They just are. Besides, this game is non-profit so it's not like it's going to hurt the sales of officially-licensed fighting games.

@Drjklv2 Well, MVC3 was a third installment to a popular series. Most people in that audience would be interested in that genre. Also MVC2 was released in the year 2000, the wait also caused more hype so it's pretty understandable. But from most MLP fans have an interest for ponies and it's only going to be a few individuals who are interested in fighting games as well. Where I'm trying to get at is, the hype seems more revolved around the hype of ponies being in it.
