Delhi Pogroms 1984 Slideshow

At the assassination of PM Indira Gandhi, Sikhs of Delhi and other parts of India faced the wrath of crazed mobs lead by the government itself. In result, over 4000 Sikhs were massacred. 2009 marks the 25th anniversary of these attacks and yet no justice has been delivered to the victims and survivors.

@ruzickaw : Yes, Indira was one and whoever killed her committed a crime. If one person is killed by someone, the whole community should never bear the consequences. The perpetrators must be brought to justice.

Sikhs are such a peaceful community that even after 1984, most of Sikhs in Punjab stuck with India and did not go out to massacre Hindus in hoards as in Delhi.

Every person who was a perpetrator or took part in this heinous genocide will rot in hell.

It was a criminal act on part of that person, but if one person comitted a crime, is it OK to persecute the whole community? whats this logic ? It was a democracy, not Nazi-era Germany !!!

To kill the prime minister that is ok. But killing Sikhs that is a crime. That is Sikh logic.

Sikhs were happy when Indira Gandhi was shot. But then they were crying.
