This is Ellie's survival swimming test. The point of wearing clothes is to simulate a drowning accident. Her instructor wanted to make sure she could perform her skills with the added weight of wet clothes

  • Now that's called SWIMMING Ellie! Well done!

  • That is really cool. All kids should learn how to swim. Too many kids drown here in Australia cause they simply can't do that!

  • swimminchildren i have some ?s i sent you a PM i would like it if you get a ch too e mail mail me

  • adjustments to their skills when fully clothed

i think i will try this out 1st i will do ISR swimming Test at the lake this weekend i no the lake may not be a good thing to do it but that the olny thing open right now here are pools dont open in tell june 13th

then i would no what skills i have

  • You have a tough little kid there and i commend you for learning such an important lesson in real clothes and shoes, rather than just light pyjama's. I saw a boy a little older than your child jump into a pool unsupervised and go straight to the bottom. It was a very scary sight. The really scary thing was there was no splash, he just went in and under.

  • I just learned about IRS from an e-mail. I think is amazing. You have a wonderful girl!

  • uh are all of u wifes !?!? o.o any ways she really good at swiming

  • As a life guard, state swimmer I'm glad to see that some parents actually take responsibility for there kids and make sure they can actually swim before throwing them in the pool good job

  • You are an amazing mom, my son is autistic, and I wish I would have known about this sooner. I have seen babies on here do this too. Your daughter is amazing..!

  • I'm proud of Ellie and especially her mother for having the foresight to do this!
