I wonder what books John Lennon read that gave him reasons to think that there is no hell ? Do you know? When I was stuck in Christianity I heard that song but probably just thought, " Well nice hope but how can you know there isn't a hell? Orthodoxy claims there is one ". Had Lennon read Nietzsche, Joseph Wheless, Robert Ingersoll, Bertrand Russell, Darwin, David Strauss, Schweitzer, James Frazer or just his own good judgement that Old Writ looked mostly fiction fantasy?
