Mortier organ #1007 - once well-known through Decca and Philips records - plays a selection from Ralph Benatzky's "Im weißen Rößl" in an arrangement by August Schollaert. From an old EP, so my apologies for the sound quality.

  • I just found this video - it's fantastic to hear such a great organ playing. Are there any LP records easily found (ebay?) of this instrument? Many LPs don't say what organ they are recorded on.

  • @nickn5nl I don't think that there were any lp's issued with this organ on them, but there were plenty of 78rpm's (Decca) and singles/ep's (Philips), which sometimes turn up on eBay. However, on some singles, there is a photo of this organ but there's another organ playing on them - very confusing!

  • Sounds great to me! Thank you . Any idea what the song is at 3:30 ? It sounds familiar ?

  • @Musicmany2k Its the main song from the operetta: "Im weißen Röss'l am Wolfgangsee" :)
