As a hiring manager I think it would be valuable to see a Video Job Interview of my job applicant, and evaluate if the job applicant is strong or has job interview weakness. Resume review and phone interviews are part of job interviewing for hiring managers, but actually seeing the job candidate on video and responding to job interview questions would add a valuable element not previously available. It also reveals the level of job interview preparation by the job seeker, a great quality.

A test of the job applicant ingenuity and ability to use current technology.
The advantage of viewing the job applicant answering questions in a somewhat stressful situation and evaluating their job interview techniques.
The ability to see what a job applicant deems important and an idea of what type of end result (The Video) the job applicant believes is a job well done.
For a job seeker there are many advantages to creating a video interview for a job openings. Most importantly it would show great ingenuity, as I have not seen anyone do it yet. Here a few other advantages that comes to mind:

I think it's a great idea. If I was looking for a position - I'd have a video. My only suggesstion would be to have the candidate make eye contact with the interviewer during the questioning, and then invite the person to make a personal invitation to whoever else may be watching: Here sincere interest in the person asking the questions, and not on the camera may seem a little more genuine. It may also be a good way for companies to put out videos of a position they're looking to fill.

Tobias4 Toyotas, I agree with you and Becky, and have produced another Video Interview, with a different candidate. In this Video, the candidate and I maintain eye contact. I will be posting this Video on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for your advise, it was very helpful.
