Notice he has his hand locked on his own arm yet does not have the opponents arm contatined within. The ref missed the call, awarded points for the takedown and back points that changed the outcome of the tournament and decided which team would qualify for the States.

@chingon711 It's a type of an illegal headlock (the legal version must have an arm enclosed to prevent choking/neck pressure).

@EASTONWRESTLE You are correct. I've been a certified official for 16+ yrs and this is one of the MOST misssed calls in wrestling. We require our refs to get in position on a knee in order to check for this and the forearm across the throat choke that apparently a lot of coaches now teach.

My college roommate won Juco nationals with this exact version of the mixer. Down by 3 in the semis with 20 seconds left to the 1 seed, he locked it up and hit it. He knew it was illegal, but refs usually do not have time to recognize it before it's let go.

@kinphooey nope your wrong (: gator roll is a cement mixer its just called a gator roll because of how the cement mixer is initiated instead of getting the hook and punching through you roll him (gator roll) into the pinned cement mixer position. HAM.
