  • thank you nobuo uematsu you incredible son of a bitch

  • is it just me O_o or is the GBA version of this thing... better...?

  • @BallsInYourJawsBitch hang on a sec.... they're different, stop comparing them, Mt Koltz is supposed to be based on adventure and romance spirit XD... but Ordeals is like... how about this? a HUGE valley full of scourging dead, and no healer lol.. everyone mysteriously shrunk to lvl 1... BUT!! theres ONE character... hes DAZZLING like a thousand suns.. that ONE LOOK convinces you to keep going.. your hopes are still alive! full of reassurance!! THAT is Mt Ordeals : D.. EPIC!!! Koltz is adventure

  • so much optimism in this song

  • Brb... going to climb mount everest while listening to this.

  • Ah fantastic nostalgia, I recall an ardous trek up an ever entwining mountain and the sheer brillance in that ghastly encounter where your backstabbed.

  • Totally kick ass, and a classic that is perfect for mountain climbing, the only one that seems to come very close is "To the North Mountain" from FF5 with it's killer bass line. Either way, easily one of the best tracks in FF4, I love this game!

  • Mt. Ordeals FTW!!

  • @johuotar

Of course Mt. Ordeals song is far more epic than Mt. Koltz.

Mt. Ordeals is all positive. As a theme of Final Fantasy II (or IV) the songs were separated between positive and negative.

Nowadays RPG music seems hellbent on combining dread and uplifting music in the same track.

  • Every time I climb a mountain this song is playing in my head. God childhood is so great. At least my brother understands and would get the same high from nostalgia. That fact is something precious. No parent or girl would ever understand, but my brother would.
