Judgement Day From the Album "Tical 2000 Judgement Day"
Birthname: Clifford Smith
Nationality: American
Born: Apr 1 1971 (40 years old)
One of the original members of influential hardcore hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man has also had success in acting, and with a solo career of four studio albums and one collaboration with Redman.
Method Man was heavily featured on the seminal 1993 Wu debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), even getting his own song named after him. The following year he was the first of the Clan to release a solo album, Tical, which reached No.4 on the Billboard 200 and was widely acclaimed. He also made guest appearances on both 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G.'s massively popular records that were released before their deaths, All Eyez On Me and Ready To Die respectively.
Method Man returned to the Wu-fold for Wu-Tang Forever (1997), which rocketed to the top of the charts thanks to the hype following the success of 36 Chambers. It's now sold around eight million copies. Method Man's second album was Tical 2000: Judgement Day (1998), which was another big seller despite mixed reviews. A joint record with Redman followed, the light-hearted million-selling Blackout! (1999). This would eventually lead to the duo starring in a Fox sitcom called Method & Red, and a film, How High, which played up to their image as stoners.
