nah matey tell that to Duran Duran and see wha they say. Even they'll tell you they do not resemble or are not trying to resembel duran duran AT ALL. the only resemblance is the style now known a "new romantic" at the time it was just a typical 80's pop styyle expressive of love emotion and a great grove and "brass" trumpet or sax was used a lot back then music was more human and less mechanical. but Kids in the kitchen had their own unique style more ballsy and a Melbourne sound

Uhhhh, actually no I don't. I was merely saying that the type of music KITK made was....well really derivative of what was happening at the time. Whether it was particularly good or not, which is subjective. Suffice it to say that bar one or two songs there's not much from this era that I like very much.

The really truly sad thing is that despite the lack of esteem I have for that era/style of music, it's still waaaay ahead of just about anything done these days.
