Today we visited Ein Karem, which is, according to Christian tradition, the place in which Mary the Mother of Jesus and Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist met to talk about their impending pregnancies.
On the site is Mary's Spring, which brings millions of Christians every year to "taste the water that will heal them," as the Virgin Mary is said to have washed in this well. Leading to the well is a pitch dark 20 meter tunnel. They say if you crawl through, all you're wounds will be healed. Claustrophobic fans beware, as the tunnel is quite tight. And if you're afraid of the dark..no way.
Today I decided to man up and conquer it. Enjoy.
