  • @douglas0929 its a crappy fire steel thats why. you need to go to a outdoor stoor and get one of the Light My Fire fire steels.

  • lesson u should have learned... USE THE STRIKER THAT COMES WITH THE FIRESTEEL. its better for sparks and if you use your knife, you will dull it.

    Ask for a Petzl head torch for your birthday and you wont have the torch problem.

  • mayb ur not using it properly. using magnesium and using firesteels can be quite different.
