In this case I prefer Andreas Scholl, his voice suits religious music better than Jaroussky's.

they both are wonderful singers. you cant say one is better than the other...it would be the same as rembrandt comparing with leonardo da vinci. But i have my preferences.....and in this case i like the voice of Andreas Scholl more....but that is just a preference.

I must say that I love both but as far as technique is concerned Scholl overrules Jaroussky. Scholl has more nuances whereas Jaroussky's rendition is more uniform and shrill (and wonderful, don't get me wrong!). But Scholl does marvels with the articulation of the fast notes. Scholl's rendition is less flamboyant thant Jaroussky's and compared to it may seem cold but it has a tenderness and an austerity of its own which I appreciate infinitely.
