i didnt even know there was a gateway

so good top companies then were paying the same as rubbish ones now... so there has been a deduction in wages then!
-
I'm not saying all wages were gud then. Folk in clothing factories (there seemed to be a few in the UK then) were on wages like £3 a hour and people in hotels, petrol stations and shops were probably also in low money. However bluechip firms especially in my area at the time like sanyo, rothmans, black and decker (all of which are now abroad) to name a few were paying not much lower than some rubbih firms when stuff was cheaper.

for you maybe, there was no legal minimum wage in 1994, as we were still under a crook tory goverment, so many others were paid much less, picking up the tab for your (then) very good wage packet!

These adverts are fucking awesome...

When the girl says 'what am i getting for christmas mum', was i the only one thinking, aids?

another terrible advert from gateway. Yeah food was cheap in 1994 when mars bars were 25pence and wages did not seem much lower than now.

That's true of a lot of things.
At least they're not "rapping" anymore.

This is almost as bad as the current ads they have where the staff chat with customers like they're personal friends.
