I remember watching the entire movie and watching this at the end, and afterwards feeling a feeling I didn't understand. Older, I know that it was a feeling of happiness and hope. Hearing this song after the movie makes you a part of Ariel's world.

@happythunder3 Maybe because A) She is lip-synching (even though it is her voice), and B) The song was recorded 10 years before this video was filmed so she seems a little older and out of place, and C) In her Ariel singing voice, it's childish and cartoony in comparison to her natural adult voice.

She IS lip syncing. The recording that she's singing to is the one in the actual movie. She's lip syncing to her own voice.

For some weird reason, it looks like she's lip syncing to a little mermaid song. It's hard to believe she is really is singing this. I can't picture anyone other than a cartoon mermaid singing this song :P
