This is a Silverlight based web application for browsing Landsat imagery published by Esri.
This application works in any browser on PC or Macs. It is designed to work with mouse but is also configured to support touch on a Windows 7 touch device like the WACOM tablet used in this video.
This video first shows the dramatic changes in Dubai from the 2000 and 2005 using Landsat natural color imagery. The demonstrator then uses Landsat infrared imagery to highlight the population growth and expansion between 2000 and 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lastly, just before the video ends the demonstrator add a new window with Landsat's NDVI change imagery showing increases (green) and decreases (purple) in vegetation between 2000 and 2005 in and around Las Vegas.
