Danger time for Deer, Big Bucks jump leap injury rut acciden

Late fall is the danger time for wild deer. It is the time for not only hunting, but rut and traffic accidents. It is followed by the cold and possible starvation of winter and then the females have to give birth and take care of young.

This video shows an episode in the life of an injured deer. Also shows close-up shots of wild deer and the grace and power of the whitetail deer as they leap over a high wire fence clearing the barbed wire above it.

He must have had a bad head injury, because he seemed to grow deformed antlers every year. Possibly this saved him from being shot. On 08.02.28, I saw the injured deer - still alive, but without antlers. He is lived for several years.

** Some of the world's largest bucks live in Ohio. Some of its world champion bucks have Boone and Crockett scores of over 300 points. Ohio's Beatty Buck may be the (or among the) largest ever taken by a hunter. That title of the largest whitetail, ever, in the record books belongs to the "Missouri Monarch," a 333-7/8 buck found dead on the side of a road in 1982 near St. Louis. In second place is the legendary "Hole in the Horn," found dead in Ohio in 1940, however, many whitetail experts think that it is actually the largest set of whitetail deer antlers in history. and the female up to 175 pounds. Males of one year or older have antlers. Young bucks with very small antlers are called button bucks. When the antlers begin to grow in the late spring, they are covered with a very vascular tissue known as velvet or moss. This drops off later. The Boone & Crockett scoring system is used to rate antlers or racks. Bucks shed their antlers at the end of breeding season (rut). Some female deer also have antlers. The piebald or white deer, a deer having more white than normal but not an albino, is very rare.

Deer have an amazing assortment of communicative signs. Approximately 100 different vocalizations have been recorded, such as tending grunts, dominant grunts, bleats, and many others. They make extensive use of sign language. The whitetail is found throughout most of the U.S., southern Canada, Central America, and in the northern portions of South America. It is a generalist, which can adapt to a wide variety of habitats, including woodland, open savanna, and even sage areas.

It hasn't been figured out yet why they relate but they do. And his wildness saved him from being shot not the antlers.

first of all, head injurys dont cause deformed antlers. any injury can do that. second, having deformed antlers doesnt prevent hunters from wanting to shoot them. in fact it promotes the shooting of them for the rare antler characteristics, and like i said before, it shows they have an injury and any responsible hunter would put it out of its misery

buck or doe when i see them out injured like that i take them out its for there own good, last year i shot a small 5 point i think he was hit by a car he could barley walk on his one good rear leg his other one was shattered
