  • 4 layers??? Wow, you shouldn't have done that. You might have discoloration in those burnt areas. You should never do 4 layers, especially for your skin type. 12.5% up to 21% or 24% TCA peel works well for African Americans. Higher than that will leave you having hyperpigmentation, and it's not easy to cure. If you didn't feel any burning feeling with a 12.5, upgrade your TCA to a 24%. Adding 4 layers is like putting in a TCA 50% peel on your face. That's extremely harsh what you just did.

  • well this was a while back and everything turned out ok but yea in my recent video I dont recommend layering

  • I did a 20% 2 layers to remove sun damage. I looked like a hot mess for 5 days didnt leave the house. lol but looked great after it was over. results lasted about 2 years

  • Chai.. I'm in the same boat as you, I have a date this Friday and I already warned him I might be looking straight out of a horror movie. Bless his heart, he said he bets he will still find me beautiful. <3

BUT IF THIS SKIN DOESN'T HURRY UP AND PEEL..!!

I did two layers of 12.5% and frosted.

  • @cherryboboc Can I ask where you got your 12.5 peel? TCA 12.5% is extremely mild. I would apply that to someone with even the most sensitive skin. I am thinking that the peel you had was NOT 12.5%. Generally it will take about 3 layers of a 12.5% to even achieve a frost in the skin (which would equal good flaking). **Always remember a peel IS a Controlled Burn. Be careful and follow all instructions. In the case of "peeling" a "burn" IS the desired result.

  • @Nakita4U2Learn -- Hi, I just wanted to make a comment here as I am a TCA manufacturer. It is ALWAYS more safe to apply a lower % in more layers than it is to put a higher % on in less layers. TCA is a smart peel and will self-neutralize after it coagulates the proteins. Several light layers are a much MUCH safer way to avoid post-inflammatory pigmentation. A high percentage causes MORE inflammation - which leads to pigmentation. Dark skin should ALWAYS use a Fading product before any peel.

  • wow,4 layers is ALOT!! i just recently did 12.5% in one layer then 3 weeks later i did 2 layers and i got burned lol.i got massive peeling and my whole face was black and burnt.the peeling is almost done and i look burnt on my cheeks but i hope as the days go by it will return to normal, else am screwed cos then i'll have to figure how to get my skin back to normal

  • o.o I cannot believe u put 4 layers on

  • that wasnt a 50% peel

after 1 layer of peel the strength is only 25% of what it is

so since u did 4 layers

    12% +4% + 1% + 0.25% =18.25% was ur peel
