  • It looked like he paid $0.75 to recycle a lamp. Then he said the coupon doubled his money for a new lamp! Cool! Where can I take my burnt out lamps?

  • .6 mg of Mg (that's how little mercury is in a bulb) is way less than old thermometers and all thermostats have. People need to stop whining about the mercury in them, even the coal used to create the extra power needed for an incandescent bulb makes a larger amount of mercury.

While I support recycling such as this, people have to note these facts as well so we don't have more idiots running around saying that florescents are bad.

  • Throw them in the trash, they get recycled into the earth, where the component originally came from.

Seriously, there's no place around here, or it's not weell known, that does this. At least all my CFL's still work, 10 years after installation. Hopefully by then, I might know where to take them!

  • What happens after you drop the light bulb, does it goes to a box inside the vending machine? does it destroy it, I just wonder what happens to the lamp after been drop in?

    Thanks.
